Commenced his career in the recruitment industry in England after
leaving Marlborough College in 1995. He joined Wynnwith Engineering, a
technical and engineering contract services company, placing Licensed
Engineers into the civil aviation industry across the UK and Europe.
In 1999 he moved to Cotech Recruitment, specialising in placing Site
Supervisors & Contracts Administrators into the construction
industry in London and the South of England.
In January 2003 James moved to Australia joining Catalyst Recruitment
(now part of Skilled Group). In this role he was responsible for
focusing on recruitment in the NSW building industry.
In 2004 he joined Downing Teal to concentrate on contingent and
executive search recruitment with blue chip construction and property
companies.
In June 2006 he established I2I Recruitment Pty Ltd, specialising in
placing Project Managers within head contracting, property development
& professional services companies in Australia and overseas.
In November 2007 James launched the Building People website. The
concept behind the site was to offer greater control, improved feedback
and useful resources to job seekers.
